Sweet Cake!

Hi Friends! Thanks for stopping in today.  Well, I finally got my Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog and Sale-a-Bration order! Woohoo!  Once I got everything settled, I decided to play along with the Stampin' Pretty Pals on the Pals Paper Arts Challenge this week.  I L-O-V-E ice cream and cupcakes so the brand new Sweet Cake Stamp set, Specialty Sweet Shop designer Paper, and Jelly Bean brads were the cutest and SWEETEST combo!  I just had to have them and it is the first of my goodies I played with. Check out my card:

I think this card is yummy!  I love the vibrant InColors and I think the brads make the finishing touch! This look will work great for both kids and anyone with a sweet tooth!  I plan to give this card to one of my fabulous co-workers who always makes me smile!  This was a fun sketch...so fun that I even got out the glitter for the cupcake! Can you believe it? lol!  Well, have a cupcake or ice cream cone today...I am!  Happy Stampin'!

♥ Sentimental Reasons ♥

Hi Friends! HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!  Question... Have you ever been working on a card or project and just couldn't find the "right" sentiment?  Well, that happened to me while I was creating my Valentines card for my amazing husband.  I couldn't find the right sentiment in all of my million stamp sets and digi sets!  It is SO hard to find the "perfect" sentiment to describe how much I love him.  So...I resorted to song...why yes, OUR SONG!  Who doesn't l-o-v-e Nat King Cole?  Well, I most certainly do and I found it most fitting to have the sentiment be the first line of our song, "Sentimental Reasons."  PLEASE tell me you know the song..."I love you, for sentimental reasons...I hope you do believe me, I'll give you my heart./ I love you, and you alone were meant for me...please give your loving heart to me, and say we'll never part."

Well, if you don't google it or look it up in itunes...you'll never be the same!  ♥ Ok, ok...that's enough of the lovey dovey! Here's the card!

I made this one with extra love, but in my signature "macho style"...clean lines, lots of texture and of course some jumbo eyelets and hemp twine! lol! I'm not sure why, but those two ALWAYS end up on my man cards!  I didn't actully stamp, I just created my sentiment in Photoshop and printed it on my card stock.  I hope he likes it!  Did you make any lovey-dovey-macho-man cards this Valentine's Day?  Let me know in the comments! ♥ Always & Blast from the Past!

Hi Friends! Thanks for stopping in today! I have a few cute Valentine themed items to share.  If you've followed me for a while now, you know I love sketch challenges!  This week, the Mojo Monday sketch challenge got my juices flowing.  I made a nice Valentine Card in record time!  Check it out:

I used the new Sale-a-Bration designer paper pack called Everyday Enchantment.  It has gorgeous patterns and you know I love the vintage feel.  I just added a few elements and a sentiment from the Always Elegant stamp set and voila! A quick and easy Valentine card! Since I haven't had much time this year to create valentines for everyone,  I thought it may be fun to share a few Valentine items I made a while back.  So, how about a BLAST FROM THE PAST!!?

This is one of my FAVORITE Valentine sets from the past!  It features the retired Whooo's Your Valentine stamp set.  I loved the sentiments.  I made a milk carton caddy and a little gift box.  In the caddy, I think I put some kind of small candy like m&ms.  I know that I filled the little gift box with Tootsie rolls to match the sentiment!  I still squeal a little when I look at these pictures. Everyone enjoyed them and I enjoyed making them.  Even though the stamp set is retired now, I can still use these as inspirations for favors using my Big Shot, the Milk Carton die and the box #2 die!  Thanks for stopping in!  Have a lovely ♥ day!
