Hi Stampin' Friends!! It's Day 5 of my Card Extravaganza...I hope you are enjoying it! Today, I will show 3 cards using the Hawaii Papaya DSP...and be sure to see the end of my post for the announcement! Hawaii Papaya DSP features Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, and Tangerine Tango.
I love this card!! I used the Eastern Blooms and Pocket Silhouettes stamp sets. I got the idea for the way that I stamped the blooms from Teresa Payne-Neal's blog...a talented demonstrator. I used the Word Window punch for the sentiment. It was quick and easy and I love the final product.
This one was fun to make as well. I used the Kiwi Kiss double sided satin ribbon and added some eyelets. The flower silhouette and sentiment is from the Upsy Daisy Stamp set. I stamped the flowers first in Chocolate Chip and then overlayed in the Tangerine Tango.
This one turned out way different than what I originally planned...but, I like it. The layout is simple, but the beautiful patterns of the DSP makes it more elaborate. I got to use the satin ribbon again too (you know that makes me happy)!
Well, ready for my exciting news??
MY BIG SHOT CAME YESTERDAY!!! While I LOVE everything Stampin' Up, I wasn't sure how much I would really be into the whole die cutting fad. The projects I saw in craft stores and for scrapbooking...well, some of the die cut stuff looked cheesey (in my honest opinion). But, I have seen so many WONDERFUL projects using the Big Shot as well as the Sizzlets dies and the Bigz Dies. So, I jumped on the bandwagon!! And the best part of it is...it was a GIFT from a wonderful family friend. I was SO excited to be able to get it! My favorites are the 3 dimensional items you can create! I am also excited to say that Stampin' Up! has developed a HUGE product line for the Big Shot in the new Catalog!!! So, I will be sharing many more projects uising the Big Shot! I didn't have much time to play, but I did manage to make a couple of pillow boxes!
Cute, huh? I'll give more deets tomorrow and show you some more creations!! Have a great Thursday and Happy Stampin'! oh yeah, PLEASE leave comments!!!
