Hi Stampin' Friends! Hope you're having a stampingly good day! I decided to play along this week with the Stampin' 411 Operators' Sketch #114. I veered slightly from the sketch, but kept most of the main elements. Let's take a look:
My card base is 5x5 Dusty Durango card stock. I layered with Whisper White, Melon Mambo, and So Saffron for a fun color combination! My main panel is larger than the original sketch, but I really wanted to get a little "punchy" today and use some of my favorite SU punches! I punched the stars in So Saffron with my Large Star Punch. I mounted them directly to the panel, but first sponged the edges with my sponge daubers and So Saffron ink pad so that they would "blast" off the card! LOL! The sentiment and rocket is from the Pun Fun stamp set and is stamped in Brown StazOn ink. I punched the sentiment using the Word Window punch and layered the rocket on the Scallop Circle, 1 1/2" and 1 3/8" Circle punches. I colored the rocket with my Stampin' Write Melon Mambo, So Saffron and Dusty Durango markers. Of course to top it off, I added some So Saffron grosgrain ribbon! I think this card rocks! Hee, Hee! The faux dry embossing is awesome. It works perfectly with the rocket. Thanks for playing along with the Stamping 411.
